History & Mission

Formerly National Conference for Community and Justice of Arkansas, Just Communities of Central Arkansas works to build a community where every person is valued, every voice is heard, and everyone has a fair chance to succeed.

What We Do:

Just Communities of Central Arkansas buids bridges. Not physical bridges, but bridges between people who make up our community. We advance diversity, challenge the assumptions we often make about people whose lives and backgrounds are different from our own, and promote understanding and respect through educational programs and advocacy. Built on the conviction that honest, forthright conversation is the cornerstone of a just and democratic society, JCCA views open dialogue as a crucial step toward breaking down the barriers that separate individuals, communities and nations. We have dedicated ourselves to our mission of building stronger communities, facilitating inter-group understanding, and enhancing workplace diversity and training the next generation through programs for adults and youth. JCCA programs are designed to break down stereotypes and promote understanding and respect among all people.

In addition to youth and adult programming, we have events that recognize good work that is done in our community, giving us cause to celebrate our open, diverse and spirit-filled community.
