Why We Work

Because the Klu Klux Klan is still marching,
JCA invites you to Walk for CommUNITY.

Because swastikas deface overturned gravestones,
JCA must continue to be vigilant to any sign of hate.

Because youth suffer from prejudice and fear violence,
JCA provides programs for youth from kindergarten through college.

Because a black man is dragged to his death on a lonely road,
JCA pledges to continue our fight against racism.

Because people who look to be Middle Eastern are stopped at our borders as terrorists,
JCA is working to learn more about our Muslim neighbors here in Arkansas.

Because hatred's voice is loud on the internet,
JCA will continue to speak out for justice.

Because anti-immigrant billboards tell new residents they are unwelcome,
JCA will work to make Arkansas a welcoming place for new residents.

Because stereotyping and bias influence policies, practices and laws,
JCA will continue to monitor and influence legislation to create opportunities for all.

Because our nation is becoming more diverse and we need to strengthen inter-group relations,
JCA will continue to ask instead of assume when we have questions about those who are "different."
