The Gathering

                RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY

Created by teens for teens, The Gathering provides a safe space for high school students from the greater Little Rock / North Little Rock area to perform and portray their perspective on contemporary social issues.

The next Gathering is "View-Discuss-Create | Art as Activism", and connects directly to the opening of two new exhibitions. Dorothea Lange's America, and Industrial Beauty: Charles Burchfield's Black Iron. Both of these exhibitions show us the artists' visions of industry, and economy, in a tumultuous time of rapid growth, and great poverty.

We begin with a guided tour to VIEW the thought provoking work that will lead us to DISCUSS our reactions in a group setting moderated by our partners at Just Communities of Arkansas. We then turn our energy to CREATE artwork in response to the exhibition, group discussion, and/or our activist platform using our own artistic voice.
